Bust the Dust
Today, Friday 13th December at 1pm. kids from all over the State will be trying to bust the dust.
They have been perfecting their moves and will gather to perform rain dances.
It was initiated by the St John’s Parish school in Trangie NSW and they invited others schools to send in videos of their dances and join the action.
Country kids are impacted by this long running drought; they watch their parents grow more and more anxious and many of them share the tasks of hand feeding the stock before and after school.
I hope that a Picture Book story I have written, looking at the drought through a child’s eyes, will find a home soon in an Australian publishing company.
